  1. Hi Sharon, I hope that you can come to visit Canada one day because that's where I live. It is a country full of lakes and rivers as your 3rd fact shows. One of our national symbols is a canoe because, before there were trains/planes or automobiles, the only way to cross our huge country was on foot and by canoe. My very favourite activity in the spring, summer and fall is to canoe on the river near my home, or on a lake near our campsite. Like New Zealand, Canada has a lot of wild and very beautiful spaces. You found 3 good facts about Canada!

  4. Kia ora Sharon,

It looks like you have been super busy over the holidays, well done on all of your blogging so far! I'm looking forward to catching up your exciting blogs through your Summer Learning Journey :-)

Great fact hunting for your trip to Canada! Did you know that Canada has more lakes than the rest of the world combined? Talk about a fascinating country to visit. I thought New Zealand had a beautiful countryside, but Canada sounds incredible.

With Canada being a bilingual country, it will be an interesting opportunity to see what it's like. Did you know that New Zealand has three official languages? English and Maori are two of them, but can you guess the third?

Can't wait to see what you have written about next Sharon, keep it up :-)

    Naku noa,
    Dan.
